Description
In May 2023, J&S McKee Ltd began work on a major infrastructure project at Global Point Business Park, delivered in partnership with main contractor Turkington Construction. The development was designed to meet the needs of Sensata Technologies’ new research and development facility, and included a wide range of civil engineering and groundwork services.
Our scope of work on this project included:
- Construction of new internal roadways
- Groundworks for two purpose-built R&D buildings
- Full drainage systems installation
- Preparation and surfacing of car parking facilities
- Delivery of all associated groundworks and site infrastructure
Thanks to the expertise of our highly skilled team and close collaboration with Turkington Construction, the project was completed and ready to open in just 14 months. Turkington achieved an EXCELLENT performance rating of 44/45 under the Considerate Constructors Scheme Audit — a testament to the high standards maintained throughout.
This project has been awarded "Commercial Project of the Year" at the 2025 Construction Employers Federation Excellence Awards.
