J&S McKee Ltd was proud to undertake a full supply and fix package for this challenging city centre construction project — an 8-storey mixed-use development featuring ground floor retail units and office accommodation above.

Our scope of works included:

Site clearance and bulk excavation (5,000m³)
Pile mat construction and sheet piling (320m)
Full temporary works design and installation
Excavation, steel fixing, concreting, and drainage
Construction of reinforced concrete sub-structure
Delivery of 32 cast in-situ suspended manholes
Installation of 720m of suspended drainage
Completion of the ground floor slab

Located in the heart of the city centre, this was a restricted-access site, with one-way street access available on only one side. Careful coordination was essential to manage the removal of bulk excavated material and ensure safe, timely deliveries of reinforcement steel and pipework.

Despite logistical challenges, our team delivered this complex groundworks package efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
